There is a transferable disease which no scientific process or technology has been able to bring about the cure. This disease has gained its stay in humans and it is now seen as normalcy. When an illness reoccurs in one it means one is not healthy. Health is the continuous well-being of the body and soul. How did this disease find its stay in humanity? Well, join me as we ride together.
Looking out of the window, I saw kids dressed in their crisp wears. Their smiles and chattering unveiled the excitement and innocence within. Their coloured clothes did not only brighten the surrounding, it gave a feeling of potential, of hope of brighter days; it was an amiable sight. As they skipped and ran towards the bus which would convey them to school for their end of session party, I heard some children vaunt about their supposed future profession. Didn't we all do that? Were there not times when we would act as doctors or as practitioners of professions that tickled our fancy?
Whatever happened to those dreams? Will those children end up like many whose dreams passed away with time? What did we do wrong? I wondered. So I traced back to the beginning and noticed that the seed was planted during the early hours of the day called teenage.
The teenage and youthful period in the life of an individual is seen as the morning hours when we are introduced to the day's freshness. It can be likened to hot iron which is the only state in which it can be shaped to suit the blacksmith. It is the introduction to life's reality. As they progress to adulthood, teenagers must pass through the corridor of the youthful age which is the period in the life of an individual where all the work is done. This truth about youthful age is accentuated in the bible (Prov 20:29, Eccl 12:1-2).
Unfortunately, lack of knowledge mixed with uncurbed youthful exuberance and the lusts that come as a result have made teenagers give themselves over to folly. This is reflected in their thoughtless decisions and actions on issues which in the long run lead to unfulfilled lives and destiny. People who have threaded that path- parents and elders- have tried to stop them from repeating their mistake with little result.
The truth is this circle continues despite all warnings. This is a disease that can only be contained even if we start to treat it early because of our limitations as humans. Nevertheless, there is a cure, the only way.
Jesus is the only way through which this wrong can be corrected. It is through teenagers' acceptance of Him that an unfulfilled future can be averted. In fact, failure to administer Him to them could lead to more danger than we have ever thought. He gives the power to do good, to overcome youthful lusts and He is wisdom. Jesus is the drug that catalyses the process of healing. I prescribe Jesus Christ to you and also advise that you maintain a consistent prayer life for the youths.
If you accept Jesus and make Him the center of your life and the center of your family you will have life abundantly and enjoy this good life given through Jesus to its fullest. Halleluyah!!!
What are you waiting for? Accept Him today and tell Him to take over your life and over the affairs of your family.
